Calorifiers

Steam Calorifiers ranging from 300 to 20 000 litres, both vertical and horizontal,  are designed and manufactured to specification from mild steel and generally in accordance with ASME VIII code of practice.

The Steam Calorifiers contain Internal Heat Exchangers utilizing  the patented Royles copper tubes for supreme efficiency with practical heat ranges from 75kw to 6000kw.

All steam domes  are certified by an independent test authority to ensure that they comply with the Factories Act.

The Calorifiers can be galvanized or treated with epoxy based glass flaked internal lining with 5 year warranty to retard corrosion.

The Calorifiers are insulated to specification,  or alternatively as standard with 75mm thick IW24 fibre wool with an R-value of 2.08, and are cladded with 0.6mm galvanized sheet metal. Both stainless steel and aluminium cladding are available on request.

Hot Water Storage Vessels

Hot Water Storage Vessels ranging from 300 to 35 000 litres, both vertical and horizontal,  are designed and manufactured to specification from mild and stainless steel and generally in accordance with ASME VIII code of practice.

The HWS vessels  are designed to store  large quantities of water up to temperatures of 75 deg C for use in hotels, hospitals, apartment blocks, gymnasiums, mine change houses and prisons.

The HWS vessels are designed to receive heated water from both internal resistance based immersion elements or external heat sources like solar, heat pumps, external electrical heaters, or a combination of any of the aforementioned.

The HWS vessels are manufactured with standard operating pressures of 400kpa and test pressures of 600kpa but can be constructed for operating pressures ranging from 100kpa to 1000kpa. The vessels can be pressure tested and certified by an idependant test authority to ensure that they comply with the Factories Act.

The HWS vessels  can be galvanized or treated with expoxy based glass flaked internal lining. The lining can be applied to parameters for either 3, 5 or 7 year corrosion warranty.

External Water Heaters

External Water Heaters (“EWH”)” are designed and manufactured to specification from mild and stainless steel and generally in accordance with ASME VIII code of practice.

The EWH  are designed to replace or supplement the heating sources used in the Steam Calorifiers and Hot Water Storage Vessels. The are also designed to heat water very quickly on an In-line basis in the water feed directly to the building or hot water storage vessels.

The EWH can be manufactured with a heat source of either steam (RNS) or electrical immersion elements. (HTI). The RNS units can be constructed to power ratings of between 75w and 6000kw and the HTI units can be contructed to power ratings of between 6kw and 480kw.

The EWH are manufactured with standard operating pressures of 400kpa and test pressures of 600kpa but can be constructed for operating pressures of up to 900kpa. The vessels can be pressure tested and certified by an idependant test authority to ensure that they comply with the Factories Act.

The EWH heaters  can be manufactured from stainless steel or mild steel. The mild steel vessels can be galvanized or treated with epoxy based glass flaked internal lining. The lining can be applied to parameters for either 3, 5 or 7 year corrosion warranty.

Internal Heat Exchangers

Internal Heat Exchangers for steam Calorifiers are manufactured utilizing  the patented Royles copper tubes for supreme efficiency with practical heat ranges from 75kw to 6000kw. These Heat Exchangers are used when the Heat Source is Steam.

Internal Heat Exchangers for HWS Vessels are manufactured utilizing U-Tubes fabricated from copper or finned copper/aluminium tubing. These Heat Exchangers are typically used when the Heat Source is glycol liquid heated from Solar Thermal panels.

External Heat Exchangers

External Plate Exchangers are supplied to specification and for instances where the Heat Source is warer/glycol liquid heated from Solar Thermal panels or in certain instances, External Heat Pumps.

The Extermal Plate Heat Exchanger can also be used for Direct Hot Water Heating in instances where the Storage Water Vessel is used as an indirect Heat Accumulator to heat the water in the water pipes directly to the end user. In these instances and Electronic Module is incorporated to control the heat transferred to the water to be heated for the consumers based on the volume of water required to be heated on an instantaneous basis.
